Boards

Buy boards — skateboards, longboards, cruisers and surfskates

Whether you ride to school, cruise through town or are learning your first tricks: at Apollo you will find a fully assembled board for every riding style. All boards arrive ready to ride, the longboards and dancers including a T-tool. Below you can see which type suits which riding style.

Which board suits you?

Skateboards

Complete boards of 31 inches with a kick tail. The classic choice for street, pavement and skatepark — and for anyone who wants to learn tricks.

Skateboards for kids

Shorter decks of 51, 61 and 71 cm with cheerful prints. Pick the length that matches the child's height.

Longboards

36 to 42 inches in wood, bamboo or fibreglass. Calm, stable and fast — the best board for longer distances.

Midi cruisers

27 inches: shorter than a longboard, more stable than a skateboard. Fits in a backpack and under your arm.

Surfskates

A moving front truck that lets you pump and carve as if on a wave. Also great as training for surfing and snowboarding.

Dancer longboards

46 inches with a long, flat deck and plenty of room to step — made for dancing and freestyle.

Frequently asked questions about boards

What is the difference between a skateboard and a longboard?

A skateboard is shorter and has a kick tail, which makes it agile and suitable for tricks. A longboard is longer, runs more calmly and rolls on more easily — nicer for longer stretches and for anyone who mainly wants to cruise. Not sure? A midi cruiser sits exactly between the two.

Are the boards fully assembled?

Yes. All boards are supplied as complete boards: deck, trucks, wheels and bearings are fitted. The longboards and dancer longboards come with a T-tool in the box for adjusting the trucks and wheels.

What protective gear do I need?

For beginners and children: helmet, knee pads and wrist guards. In a fall you catch yourself with your hands first, so wrist protection is far from a luxury. You will find matching helmets and protective gear with us.

How do I look after my board?

Keep the wheels and bearings dry — riding through puddles is the quickest way to make bearings squeak. Retighten the truck bolts regularly with the T-tool and rotate the wheels so that they wear evenly. We keep spare wheels, bearings and tools in stock.
